Introduction
LPG storage tank is a key equipment used to store liquid liquefied petroleum gas at room temperature and medium pressure. As the "warehouse" of LPG refueling stations or supply stations, it plays a core role in ensuring fuel safety and stable supply
Low investment and operating costs:
- Construction cost: As a room temperature pressure vessel, it does not require the expensive vacuum insulation system of LNG storage tanks, nor does it require the extremely high pressure (>25MPa) design of CNG storage tanks, resulting in the lowest manufacturing cost.
- Operating energy consumption: Maintaining liquid phase storage only requires ambient temperature, without additional cooling or high-pressure compression energy consumption, and daily operating costs are extremely low.

Main role in LPG refueling stations
The LPG storage tank is the storage core, pressure source, and stabilizer of the entire supply system, and its role is indispensable.
1. Core storage function: Safely receiving and storing liquid LPG unloaded from transport tankers, it is the energy inventory center of the refueling station, and its capacity determines the continuous supply capacity of the station.
2. Maintain system pressure stability: The gas phase in the upper space of the tank maintains a certain saturation vapor pressure, which drives the flow of LPG in the station pipeline and ensures its original power to remain liquid before reaching the gas dispenser.
3. Gas/liquid phase separation and supply: Provide stable liquid phase fuel for gas dispensers (as the vehicle is filled with liquid LPG). At the same time, gas can be supplied to the station's self use gas equipment (such as pneumatic valves and domestic gas) through gas-phase pipelines.
4. Safety buffer and emergency reserve: Used as a buffer container for system pressure during unloading operations or equipment maintenance. Meanwhile, the stored LPG is also the emergency reserve fuel for the station.
5. As the focus of safety monitoring: The storage tank is the safety core of the body, and its pressure, liquid level, and temperature are the most critical monitoring parameters of the station control system. Any abnormality will trigger high-level alarms and interlock protection.
